Summary: Sexual assault in the military is not just a personal tragedy — it’s a national failure. Our service members deserve a culture of respect, safety, and accountability from day one. We demand immediate implementation of a standardized MST prevention and self-defense curriculum across all military entry points: basic training, officer candidate schools, ROTC programs, military academies, and more. Prevention starts with education — before trauma occurs.
We, the undersigned, call on the Department of Defense, military leadership, and elected officials to take urgent and measurable action to prevent Military Sexual Trauma (MST) through proactive education and accountability. MST is a systemic issue — and it’s past time for a systemic solution.
